Users of the road next to the Armed Forces Technical Training Centre ( Ekounou-CEFTA) in the Yaound\u00e9 IV sub division can now smile again, after weeks of using alternative routes to go about their daily activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circulation on the stretch has been restored after river cutting across made it a death trap for automobile users. Rushing to the rescue, the Yaounde City Council<\/strong> with its own funds, provided a sustainable solution, reconstructing the passage and making it better than before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In barely two months, the culvert was reconstructed <\/strong>and delivered to the population as promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The structure, Mayor Luc Messi Atangana noted, is more of a bridge than a culvert. \u00ab\u00a0The works were hard and heavy. It cost 445 million FCFA, a figure we did not preview. But we had to engage in it, taking into account the importance of this stretch which is sometimes the entry and exit to and from Yaound\u00e9 for other divisions and regions.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project it should be noted, also permitted for the proper concealing of three formerly exposed Camwater pipes supplying different parts of the capital city portable water. The Ekounou-CEFTA<\/strong> stretch is just one of multiple projects funny the City Council to ease the daily lives of Cameroonians. Work will kickoff on many others in the days ahead, in accordance with Mayor Luc Messi Atangana’s vision for the capital city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
