Monument Patriote
The imposing 15-metre-high structure consists of two semicircle arcs, one above the other. On both sides of either of them, are the words ‘I love my country Cameroon’ and ‘J’aime mon pays le Cameroun’. Their intersection rests on a ball, symbol of Cameroon’s renowned sports prowess. Resting on the intersection is a carved out Cameroon map, supported by two hands. The area around the structure has eight water pools with fountains, animated by bright colored lights. It also has benches made to accommodate visitors.
